Immediate Plans

To live and work in Laikipia, Kenya, as a Princeton in Africa fellow at Mpala Research Center.

Eugenia earned a BA with highest distinction in public policy and interdisciplinary studies (sustainable food systems and global development). She was the president and equity chair of UNC’s four-time national championship-winning Club Ultimate Frisbee team, a barista and sustainability associate at The Meantime Coffee Co., and a volunteer at the Edible Campus and Carolina Community Garden. She was named a finalist in Oxford Skoll Centre’s Global Map the System competition for her research on food access disparities in Washington, D.C., and she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. To culminate her four years at UNC, including a semester abroad in Costa Rica, she designed and taught a 16-week seminar exploring “Alternative Economic Visions” as part of the Honors Carolina C-START program. After graduation, she hopes to continue pursuing unconventional educational opportunities and finding ways to make her life a lifelong Lovelace Fund experience.
